Week’O 15 Second Semester

It has being a while since I last write for the Week’O series.

After 3weeks of Semester break, here comes the second semester of my foundation studies at University Tunku Abdul Rahman.

First I’ll simply sum up what I’ve done during my 3 weeks semester break.

Week’O 14

Trio Kampar Trip

Last Sunday, went to Kampar with Comrade ChoonYong and PeiFeng. Since we’re going to study at Kampar starting May/June, we went there to know more about that place. Also, to find a house or room for us to rent. Will write about this event in next post.

MG Unicorn Progress

Started constructing my Master Grade Unicorn Gundam. Which is still in progress…

The upper body is finished, while just starting the lower part. Backpack and weapons still in queue… =.=

Stop the SPAM

there’s no need further explanation, I think everyone experienced above situation. Live Messenger spam…

Recently this problem is becoming more and more serious. I mean every time I log into my Windows Live messenger. I would get at least 3-4 person spamming something like that to me…

It is not their fault to send those spams. It was something like adware or hacks that causes the problem.

ChoonYong told me that, by changing their email password will solve the problem. Because the hackers are unable to use your account to send those useless and annoying spams.I think It’ll work… I’m finding a solution…

So guys and gals… together please stop this phenomena.. DO NOT click on those links given by the spam. It is very obvious that the person wouldn’t write something like: “Look! Your picture!! http://wtf/”

Some more, I don’t know why that someone actually believes and click on the link… there goes….

Week’O 13

Breast Enhancing Ringtone

Found this accidentally on youtube… Dr. Tomabechi had invented a kind of ringtone that would increase the size of a female’s breast for 2cm if she listens to the ringtone for 10 times a day, for a total of 20 days.

I don’t think it’ll work for males… Girls out there who wants this ringtone… erm, I got…

Mahjong

Playing mahjong with my friends… found this mahjong set in my old house… I believe it is older than me… ^^

Some said that playing mahjong is not nice, because most people usually thinks “play mahjong = gambling = bad habit”… Well, I think that mahjong is a very nice game, which you have to observe other players, plan and decide what to do in order to win or prevent others to win. Of course I don’t gambling…

Master Grade Unicorn Gundam

I had this MG kit for a year already… wanted to construct it, but never get a chance to do so… always busy with all kinds of stuff… Until recently, i got some free time to do this project…

The Psycho Frame, It GLOWS… Bandai used some kind of light collecting material for this ABS part…

Shinjuku Incident

Went to watch movie with my friends, DaoQi and Simon on 2nd April. Intended to watch Fast and Furious 4, which on air on that day. Good gracious, the tickets were sold out… Finally, we choose another new movie by Jackie Chan – Shinjuku Incident

Don’t wan’t to spoil the story for you. Simple summary:

In the early 1990s, a tractor mechanic from China nicknamed Steelhead (Jackie Chan) enters Japan illegally, in search of his girlfriend Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei). Steelhead and his friend, Jie (Daniel Wu) meet in the busy Shinjuku district of Tokyo and take manual labouring jobs to earn money. When Steelhead finds out that Xiu Xiu has married a Japanese Yakuza leader named Eguchi (Kato Masaya), he decides to remain in Japan…

This is actually a very good movie, the background are very well portrayed, such as the Yakuza community, Japanese society, gothic and etc…However, in Malaysia, this movie is being filtered… quite a lot being cut away… below is the movie trailer…

Fast and Furious 4

We never give up on what we wanted to do… 2nd day, We went to watch movie again… this time, we booked the ticket earlier… Still barely get the ticket, the front most row..

What I can say after I finished the whole movie is: “your money won’t be wasted.” Go watch this movie if possible. I’m looking for another chance to watch it again.

Ching Ming Festival

Today is Ching Ming Festival, which also called as All Souls Day or Tomb Sweeping Day. Went to clean the tombs of my grandparents and great-grandparents.

It is a day to remember and honor our ancestors. We Chinese take this festival very seriously as it is a time to reflect, honour and give thanks to our forefathers.

Logitech Optical Mouse

My G1 mouse was dead, and I changed to a random unknown brand mouse… The mouse freaked me out after 2 days using it… The precision of the mouse is TOTALLY s*cks… When you’re moving the mouse, cursor on the screen moves, yah.. i know this is normal… but when I stop, the cursor also stops and then move a bit to a random direction…

This may sounds like a small case, I thought I can handle it because lazy to go buy a new mouse. However, I keep on clicking wrong links when surfing internet, highlight wrong paragraphs during document editing and etc etc… The mouse goes straight into the dustbin…

It might be a bit bit bit waste… But the truth is that thing is not created to increase the efficiency of our work, in fact they’re just being sold for profit only… Hey, RM5 optical mouse, lots of people like to buy this kind of rubbish…

Got the Logitech Optical mouse from D’Fastec at the price of RM26. This Logitech Optical originally costs RM36, RM26(promotion price), I noticed that there’s another exactly same Logitech Optical which costs RM36 with no promotion price… Why? the RM26 is P/S2 port while the RM36 is USB port, which widely used right now… I see… so I just take the p/s2 version…

The mouse comes with the mouse(lol), user manual, product catalogue. Unlike the USB port got plug and play function, p/s2 port mouse require the computer to restart to install the thing… Overall, a very nice mouse.

My Desk

Spent some time to clearing up the rubbish/useless things around my desk. Arranged the stuffs orderly.. The printer was put in this small space, decide to get a small desk and put the printer beside instead, along with the scanner. Put my CDs and DVDs at there… unsorted DVDs still laying around… ^^

WEEK’O 11 – 马青木威区主办 – 北霹雳至泰南寻宝之旅

Last weekend, day after back from LowYat Plaza, Saturday. I went to Betong, Thailand with my family. Well, my father participated in a treasure hunt, something like mini-Amazing Race…

I am so stupid that I took so few photos during the whole trip…

from Ayer Tawar we got our car stickers which consists of car number and sponsors’ logos… before the trip starts, a reporter from Sin Chew Jit Poh tooks some photos and if you want to see it, you may found it in 新洲日报-大霹雳.. around 1-4th Dec….

Actually the race starts from Lenggong until Gerik only… a really small scaled amazing race… because if the race were to be held until Thai… the custom there would be a trouble… what if someone couldn’t pass the custom..

Right after the race starts… the rain starts to fall too… My father says this is so great, raining during the race… everyone would rush to complete their tasks despite raining quite heavily… lol…

so damn simple quests… and everyone seems to completing them so fast… my father thought that we’re not going to get the LCD TV… the first prize.. because even those who always drives slowly would overtake my father…

barely finished the race and placed 7th (i think) among 28 groups… got a crappy CD Walkman… (are there anyone still using it?)

After the race, we travels to Betong…

That night we had a Karaoke competition… lolz…. definitely something not for me…

WEEK’O – in before SPM

Whassup folks, how’s your preparation for SPM? Anyway, whether you’re fully prepared or touched nothing, I’m putting aside SPM from this post.

DEEPAVALI

I know it is kinda weird for me to write about this… but before I move into ChoonYong’s house, I never had any chance to see any Indians having Deepavali countdown, I don’t even know that there’s countdown for Deepavali. Since there aren’t much Indians live near my house.

I won’t blog it If it was just an ordinary festival countdown, however, I found something odd in the celebration… Fireworks are normal for any events or festivals… and the Indians are playing/burning fireworks for the celebration… Everything seems normal to this point… Until I see them lighting up the long-red-firecrackers… well, the firecrackers that we Chinese burn during Chinese New Year or other events (wedding)… Ironically, the highest/largest/last firecracker has the word “福”… zzz

Do they know what’s the meaning/purpose of it… or they just learn from what they see… or I’m making a fuss over what I see for first time……

WAR WITH RATS

We’re facing a crisis of rats because the rats lived in ChoonYong’s deserted found that there’s food in the house… After we live here for 3-4weeks, the rats start to attack our kitchen…

In order to defend our foods, we start to counter their attacks by setting up mouse traps… and We successfuly trapped 4 mouses in a week!!! 2 of them are being released into nature by PeiFeng and HwaZien… and I killed the another 1.. while last 1, I give it to ChoonYong’s dog to play with… but the mouse ran away from the dog…

We found that there’s still some mouse in the house… but its getting harder and harder to trap them. Maybe they’ve found out that their comrades were being missing one by one…

I guess we should try to change our tactics in order to terminate them…

WEEK’O 10

Its being a long time since my last WEEK’O… I’ve been busy writing lots of reviews and articles about our daily “dulan” thing-gies…

ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately due to some circumstances, I can’t update my blog as much as before, maybe I’ll update once or twice a week…

Actually, I’m moving into ChoonYong’s house for about 4 months starting this weekend, until SPM ends…

Barbequed for 6hours

This is what actually happened last week… If I’m not mistaken, it was 9th August, Saturday… Erm, we had a barbeque in school !!! Hey folks, applause please~~…

Talk about barbeque, we must have chicken wings but, why are they preparing drumsticks… We’re having hard time to cook the drumsticks…

Moving into ChoonYong’s House

as what I announced just now… I’m moving into ChoonYong’s house this weekend…

for the purpose of studying for SPM…

ChoonYong’s family have an empty house beside his “real” house… so we decide to make use of the empty house…

the most important is, we got our parent’s permission to do so…

hopefully we’ll complete our mission…

went to KFC to celebrate that ChoonYong is not selected for NS… he belanja… forgot to take picture of before eating… this is after… finishing 2 variety bucket..

after that, we went to ChoonYong’s house to decide which room will be used…

14/8/08

We decided to use 2 rooms, 1 for sleeping, and 1 for study.. and cleaning up the rooms…

WEEK’O 9 Episode2

at first I have bunch of things to write about but I forgot some of them already… next time I’m gonna write down what I’m going to blog about…

My Toe

Opened the bandage… It still hurts whenever I apply some force to it…

may consult the sifu again if it still hurts…

I know, I know.. my leg is disgusting…

What The HECK?

Well, I just bought the April 2008’s Dengeki Hobby… Dengeki Hobby is a Japanese monthly magazine about models and figures, It has HongKong translation and Taiwan translation versions too…

of course, I always buy the HK or Taiwan translation version… cause I still cant read Japanese… Even if I can read Japanese, where can I get the Japanese version in Sitiawan…^^

Buying this magazine is not what I want blog about, but the tag included in the magazine…

When a certain magazine/book imports to Malaysia, I donno what what Jabatan got check the contents of the magazine/book.. then, they’ll rate the magazine/book…

Well, this is Malaysia, those M*l*ys rate anything…

but… this is not Pl*yb0y magazine wor…. I think the M*l*yP1Gs dont even know what is model and figures… I do admit some figures may have their clothes striped… but.. I dont think looking at the striped figures will make someone do some yellow-yellow stuff.. well, if Gundams… =.=|| that guy needs some phycological attention..

No Graphics Card

as I said before, I toasted my GC… but later I found out the problem is not the GC, the GC is working, the problem comes from the driver… ChoonYong told me that nVidia’s driver has lots of problems and not 100%… but I dont have any problems with the nVidia drivers until the last Thursday…

I tried to repair the problem, I used all kinds of methods and failed… It is driving me crazy…

so I tried to change the nVidia GC to ATI GC, but… my comp couldn’t detect the GC… and I’m tired (actually is lazy) of these problems…

At last my decision is NOT to install a GC…

NO Graphics Card = No advanced graphics processing = NO GAMEs (still got pinball)
