Moving

After living in the rented house for about 4-5months, we decided to move to ChowYang’s house. The main reason is due to the rental fee which is too heavy and we think it is not a good deal for us. Partially also due to ChowYang’s house has extra space and rooms for us. ^^;

Week’O 15 Second Semester

It has being a while since I last write for the Week’O series.

After 3weeks of Semester break, here comes the second semester of my foundation studies at University Tunku Abdul Rahman.

First I’ll simply sum up what I’ve done during my 3 weeks semester break.

Mooncake Festival Family Gathering

A little bit late for this post… Went to Shah Alam last Saturday, had a Mooncake Festival family gathering at my uncle’s house.

First Semester Break

16 days of 6 examinations, Public Speaking, English Language, Economics, Computer Studies, Accounting and General Mathematics I. DONE!… Finally, its the 3weeks semester break~~

Right after finished the last paper, went to Tesco with Scott, Koo, Ivy, e-ning, SinYee, and ShinYen.

SinYee planned to have a candle lightning night at the fly-over bridge. So, we bought some candles and snacks. Too bad that I didn’t take any photos when we’re at Tesco.

At night, we went to the fly-over bridge on 1am… yeah, this is what nowadays youngsters do…

It has being a great semester. Studying at a University is totally different with how we used to study at schools.

No matter who you are or where you are… We all start from zero. Same goes for me too.

During the starting of the semester, my study group is different with Robert and HuiHui. Even though my application to change study group is being approved, but yet I choose to stay at the group consists of around 25 people that I never met before.

I’m doing so because I aware that I must not run away. To know new friends is not a challenge but something that really fun and great.

Sometimes, its okay to walk alone, as you might found something that others don’t. Because I choose to accept, I get to know these buddies.

^^ We light candles, chat and look at the stars until 5am before we say goodbye to each other. Thank you guys. See ya all in next semester~

First Semester Final Examination

After 14 weeks of lectures and tutorials, of course some practical class too, finally This week is the study week which prepares us for the coming final examination.

The examination will take place from 11th Sept until the end of Sept. Depends on which subject you’re taking, some might have papers to take throughout the whole period.

Its time to study, adios amigo.

Anime Review: sola DVD Specials

Plot Summary:

Two episode of DVD special featuring stories that took place before the beginning of the TV series and at the middle of the TV series.

Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Romance, Supernatural

Age Rating: Everyone

No. of Episodes: 2 Specials

Story

To be simple, this 2 episoded specials should be great. But it didn’t make it.

The main cause is the first episode. Just like other anime specials or OVAs, it featured the boring pool-bikini scene. I do enjoyed the episode but I’m bored with this pool+girls-in-bikini theme.

While the second episode is wonderful. Unlike the first episode, this episode is more suitable for sola’s genre. It gives a soothing feel, relaxing…

I’ll have it rated: 31.5/40

Animation

Studio: Nomad

Year: 2007

Type: Special

While for the animation, it is basically the same level as the TV-series. Although the resolution is lower (DVD) than the TV-series (HD), however, still could notice they’re the same.

The same theme songs are used in the specials. No complaint as I like the song a lot. By the way, they added a Insert theme which is very nice.

SONY PlayStation 3 Slim

Few days ago, Sony finally announce their PlayStation 3 Slim officially.

The Slim version costs USD299 which roughly about RM1050. The device has the same feature as the old fat PS3, however it is more smaller, lighter, and power efficient. It comes with a 120GB hard drive too.

The new model is powered by a new 45nm Cell processor which runs at the same speed as the old 60nm Cell processor. The power consumption is being cut to two-thirds. The fan noise also reduced.

Like 80GB and 160GB model, it comes with Wi-Fi and two USB ports. Sony also made the hard drive easily removable. This means upgrading the hard drive is a piece of cake.
