Story
This is a single episode OVA of my all-time-favourite anime, “Full Metal Panic!” series… sequel of “Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid”… Story is about “A rather quiet day for Captain Testarossa”, which is the OVA’s title…
I’ve being so excited when I finished watching “FMP! TSR”, I couldn’t wait to watch this OVA…
I don’t remember if I ever told you guys about this matter in my previous FMP! review, Captain Testarossa is my favourite character of FMP! series… I was overjoyed when knowing the OVA is a story about her day off… haha
This is a very nice OVA, revealing lots of fun facts/secrets of the characters…PS* Tessa is extremely cute in this OVA..^^
I’ll have it rated: 37.5/40

Thumbs up for Kyoto Animation. I don’t know where to complain about this OVA as it is just too GREAT! far beyond other OVAs at the same season…
I’m so impressed with Kyoto Animation’s work, I’ve watch quite a number of KyoAni’s anime, each of them is giving me a good impression… now I’m pretty sure that KyoAni is now one of my best/favourite animation studio.
In a nutshell… this is best of the best…

Ow… this OVA don’t have specific opening song, after thinking over about this problem, I assume it uses the same OP from the “FMP! TSR”.
well, the ending soundtrack is unknown, but I love the tune, a peaceful and relaxing tune… of course, with pictures/captions of Tessa… ^^
Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid フルメタル パニック!The Second Raid
Plot Summary:
This series is set about two months after the events ocurred in the Tuatha de Danaan at the end of the original series. Mithril becomes aware of a secret organization that has technology able to counter the ECS (Electronic Cloaking System) mode.
This organization, known as Amalgam, also has “Black Technology”, obtained from “Whispered” like Kaname Chidori, and like the other intelligency agencies, they intend to obtain more. However, when Sousuke’s mission to protect Chidori is terminated by Mithril, all seems to be in place for Amalgam’s plans… Like many of its fans know, it is based of the FMP novel “The End of Day by Day.”

Okay people, I’m saying this is one of the best anime I’ve ever watched…
Prequel of the “Full Metal Panic!”, I don’t read the novel or manga version of FMP!, however I’m still surprised how much they improved in the storyline… compared to the first series…
If I have to say the weakness of this series… I think that 13episode is way too short for such great anime…
I’ll have it rated: 38/40
Animation

Starting since “FMP? Fumoffu”, the animation studio has changed from GONZO to Kyoto Animation. I’ve watch the “FMP? Fumoffu” and impressed with their work.
And now, the next series of FMP! was also done by KyoAni. To be frank, I don’t know what to complain about it… as I couldn’t find any problem with it.

Opening song of this series is nice, and performed by the same artist who sung the “FMP!” opening song – “Tomorrow”…
While the ending gives a special feeling of relaxation…
Overall, soundtracks for this series is better than last, the soundtrack selection suits the situation perfectly, and made the show a success…
However, they failed at the voice cast while having cantonese dialogues.
Several months after Nanoha first became a Magical Girl, she still is unable to personally meet with her new close friend, Fate Testarossa, who is being tied in the Space / Time Administration Bureau for her association in the Lost Logia case. They still communicate through video-mail and hope to see each other in-person once again.
Unfortunately, their reunion is not a happy one, as several people who call themselves “Velka-Type Knights” battle Nanoha above the city. Their objective is to fill the pages of the Book of Darkness by stealing the magical power of anyone they can find. Nanoha and Fate must once again team up to stop their plans and save the world.

Story
Sequel of the last series, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
The story has improved a lot if compared with its prequel… The plot is stronger than its predestor and same mistakes were avoided… However, everything still smells childish, perhaps this anime is made suitable for everyone.
Situation in the story is changing all the time, you wouldn’t know what will happen next. Well done for the storyboard writers, for successfully showed the changes from the first series to the 2nd series…
I’ll have it rated: 32/40

This anime is better animated than its prequel (if not I’m gonna kill the whole production team)… Battle scenes, effects…
They show improvements in this anime. I’m happy with it cause it doesn’t goes the other way round…

If compared to the first series, I can say that I prefer the first series’ OP song than this series’… However the OP animation is still great or maybe better than the first series’…
While for the ED song… still same type as the first series.. talk about “tradition” huh?… no complains…

Story
At first, when I started watching this series, this anime gave me an impression of… childish..? our dear protagonist, Nanoha, is still a 9-10 years old kid… its not like I’m holding a grudge over a kid…
A pretty simple story, starting with Nanoha having her peaceful and joyful life, after getting involved in an incident about the “Jewel Seeds” and meeting Fate Testarossa, she’s having changes in her life…
The bad… I couldnt tell whether if it is the animation studio’s fault or the storyboard writer’s fault… Since I found there’s quite a number of important matters are missing/not explained… as example, in an episode, a Jewel Seed suddenly grow in to a HUGE plant/tree which engulves almost a part of the city, but why there’s no civilians discover such huge chaos…
after a few episodes, it is explained that they set up an magical barrier to momentary isolate the area… zzz

A decent anime, everything looks just normal and not getting much of my attention…
Nothing worth to be comment about, and don’t have anything to complain about, since it is a 2004s production…

When I first heard the Opening song, I thought it might be some so-so song, but the vocalist sounds familiar… at the moment the song enters the chorus part, the song rocks, and I recognizes the vocalist is Mizuki Nana, well, one of my recently-know-favourite-seiyuu.
How about the Ending song? well, it doesn’t catch my attention… Listening to it doesn’t hurt either… to be frank, it is boring…
